Jay Footlik is a former US Congressional Candidate for Democratic Party. He has held various senior positions on numerous political campaigns over the past 25 years, including Bill Clinton’s campaign for president in 1992 and John Kerry’s Presidential campaign in 2004, where he served as Kerry’s senior Middle East advisor. Jay served as Special Assistant to President Clinton in the White House. He worked on a range of domestic and foreign policy issues, including extensive work in the MENA region. 

Republican Rick Smotkin worked for the International Republican Institute (IRI). He also managed the successful reelection of Delaware Attorney General Jane Brady, served in the administration of then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani and served on the staff of then-Senator John Ashcroft.

Just 43 days before the US presidential election, they shared their reflections on the campaign and their predictions about who might win. The debate was moderated by Tomáš Pojar.
