Priorities of the Czech foreign and defence policy

The Center for Transatlantic Relations’ team of experts attempts to formulate the main priorities of the Czech foreign and defence policies, in the context of the formation of the new government after the October 2025 parliamentary elections. The analysis takes into account the need to maintain basic continuity in state policy in the face of a turbulent international situation.

The document summarizes the main challenges in the areas of regional, European, and global policy, and analyzes the key tasks for strengthening the defense capabilities and security of the Czech Republic.
