H.E. Vahagn Khachaturyan is Armenia’s fifth president. An economist by training, he graduated from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. He was mayor of Yerevan from 1992 to 1996 and later served as a member of the National Assembly and as an advisor to the president. Between 2021 and 2022, he was the minister for the high-tech industry. He was elected president of Armenia in May 2022.
